Finished my first full sized quilt today!!
Today, my greatest accomplishment!! I finished my first Jelly Roll quilt!! It was done in a flower pattern, soft pinks, greens and blues on a soft beige background, then the patches were set on point!! A bit of a challenge but oh , the feeling of success when the blocks were all put together. Now, comes the job of handquilting- I think this one is simply "stitch in the ditch". Wonder how long it will take!! Good feeling to get one done!!

Books, books and more books!
I just finished Beth Wiseman's book, Plain Paradise, the fourth in her series. What a talented author she is !! Her portrayal of the Amish is outstanding. She gives so much of herself in her books and in this one she showed us her true heart- and faith. The main couple in the story who become engaged encounter problems that many of us have experienced . Beth has them react to some difficulties in a way perhaps thought unusual for someone in the Amish faith. To those of us who have adoption in our families, this book is easy to relate to. What a wonderful way to spend the day!! Reading Amish fiction!!
