 My Thoughts:

Happy Release Day to one of my favorite authors of Amish fiction, Molly Jebber!!  Congratulations on writing another fantastic book!!  I have to admit.... I have NEVER been disappointed by a novel by this author.  Once again, she has written a book that will hold your interest from beginning to end, appealing to every emotion you possess. I am almost afraid to admit this,... but I think that this is the BEST one yet! But then again, what will the future hold for this talented lady?

"Ellie's Redemption" is the second in  the historical Amish fiction series entitled  "Amish Charm Bakery". It can be thoroughly enjoyed as a stand alone, however, I highly recommend you read the first book, "Liza's Second Chance", as book two revisits familiar characters. I had the great feeling of reuniting with old friends and wanting to catch up on their lives. There are also new character to get to know and love. All of the characters are so realistically and well described that the reader quickly becomes totally involved in their lives. What a complicated world Ellie encounters when attempting to redeem herself  in her old Amish life! The community gossips are at work  giving Ellie a difficult time trying to prove herself very different from the "old" Ellie. Reputations are certainly hard to change!! A successful romance seems impossible with  these negative thoughts popping up at every moment.  I admired Ellie's determination to succeed as well as Joel's kindness and strength in the toughest circumstances.

The main theme of forgiveness  of self and others comes through loud and clear throughout the steady paced plot. The reader comes to realise that the Amish community is not without the problems similar to what you and I face. Even in a strong Christian community there will be those that cause us grief. The whole solution is to trust our Lord and follow His plans, not listen to human advice and opinions.

Is the relationship between Ellie and Joel doomed??? Will the gossips win????

Don't miss this great read!!  A fabulous book!! Can hardly wait for Molly's next creation!

Don't Miss This FANTASTIC New Novel by Popular Author, Barbara Cameron!

                               "Loving A Summer Dad"
                                  By Barbara Cameron

Synopsis:

Cassie returns to Silver Springs, the small, quaint Florida town where she and her brother and divorced father used to spend their summers. Once, she was in love with Jackson but her father said that they were too young. So Cassie went off to college and eventually married another man and got divorced. And Jackson stayed in Silver Springs, became a successful horse rancher and married and divorced. Now the two of them meet, and their love is even stronger than it was before. But it’s the worst possible time for their relationship. They have this one summer. Will it be enough?

My Thoughts:

I must say that this cover attracted me from the start!! It is colorful, appealing and makes one want to find out what this book  is all about!! A "summer dad"??? What is that???  I just had to find out!

Then to my surprise, I look at the author..... Barbara Cameron!! But wait..... she writes my favorite genre, Amish Fiction!! Now, I am completely confused!! This sure is NOT an Amish story!! Barbara Cameron has branched out and is now beginning a new series entitled, "Dads In Love" and this is the first.  Admittedly, I was a bit leery, I do love her Amish tales, but would I enjoy this one as much?  This novel was NOT a disappointment. The reader is immediately able to identify with these realistic, vividly described characters. When reading, I want to escape everyday life . Every emotion they experienced was shared with me and I found both Cassie and Jackson easy with whom to identify.

The plot moves steadily with just enough twists and turns to keep one totally engaged from the first to the last page. Complications and roadblocks kept cropping up unexpectedly.

I highly recommend this book to all lovers of Christian fiction . I am SO glad that Barbara Cameron has branched out, perhaps. out of her comfort zone, but ending up with a true winner! Don't miss this book!!
