"Need You Now"
By Beth Wiseman

Reviewing this soon to be released (Apr. 2012) book, was the most exciting  and enjoyable task that I have ever done!! All I can say is , "WOW"!!  Best selling author Beth Wiseman, well known for her Amish Fiction, has entered  the  Christian fiction market, doing an outstanding job.
I have loved all of her Amish fiction books and keep saying that her next book cannot be better!! But little did I know how much I would enjoy this new book.
"Need You Now" is a contemporary marriage story that touches your inner being, making you examine your life and will definitely stay with you long after you have finished reading it. It is a story of a  family, who moves their three teenage children from the threats of big- city problems, Houston, to  the tiny town of Round Top, Texas. Many challenges await this family, adapting to small town life, particularly the fifteen year old, Grace. She is coping in a dangerous way. The issues this story examines are ones that have special meaning for many of us. Problems encountered, are those that touch our hearts, teenager difficulties, marriage problems, special needs children. You feel the pain and conflicting emotions  that this family experiences.  I must admit the tears flowed as I felt the need for God to heal this family situation and could empathize with them in such a way , that they became part of me. Beth's ability to develop her characters in such a down to earth, realistic way is  a God given talent. He is certainly working through her to  examine problems and show us a healing touch.

Married life isn't always a bed full of roses, as we all know, and this couple shows this. When faith becomes weaker, things start to falter. Darlene, the wife and mother, takes a job outside the home for the first time  and the domestic tensions increase. She encounters a widowed father of one of the students who begins to think of her in ways  not acceptable. These feelings begin to be reciprocated by her, as she is lonely and needs a listener. God needs to  intervene NOW to save a marriage and a family.

Beth's development of the plot has so many twists and turns, you are mystified at what will happen next. Just when you think you have the situation figured out, another complication appears. I could NOT put this book down. Do not plan on putting this novel down until you have finished it.  A truly amazing work of art!!   The family has so many obstacles to overcome and only  God can provide the healing touch. Will this family survive?? Only if they allow Him to provide the faith and strength.

Words cannot describe how I felt when I was reading this book!! Emotions, feelings and thoughts of God's power were some of those that I could identify. Everyone can take some piece of this and use it.
This is a book not to be missed!!
Beth, you have outdone yourself!!!
